My name is Joy Daniela Gurung. I am currently a grade 12 student attending Bishop Alexander Carter. I am a part of the school student council and Linkcrew program. I am also doing a placement at a Harm Reduction Clinic as a part to attain my future goal of creating significant difference in our community.

It is important to engage youth in community work for the community to run healthily. Youth are the backbone of the community and sets the culture. The fresh perspectives that youth has to offer can be very beneficial in healthy development of our community. After involving with Future North, I not just know or understand the needs and problems of our community better but am also led to think and act on what I can do. Future North has given me the platform to connect with like minded people and contribute my ideas and time to the community.
